I'm just someone who loves cheesecake. When I first heard the word cheesecake I thought to myself "cheese" and "cake"? How could anyone combine cheese and cake to make a dessert. Little did I know how great it would be.
Ever since then I'd been a big fan of cheesecakes. They're just so rich and creamy with a unique sweet taste all their own. You know how some people say it tastes like chicken. Well I never heard anyone say that something taste like cheesecake. Cheesecakes truly have their own unique taste.
At first I thought to it would be difficult to bake them, but it turned out that they are very simple to make and ever since I made my first one, I've been baking them every chance that I got.
When I first started baking them, I went with just a basic cheesecake recipe. And believe it or not, they always turned out sweet and creamy and tasted great even when I overbaked them and they cracked slightly. You've got to try really hard to make one that doesn't taste great. So far I haven't been sucessful and I hope it stays that way.
When I decided to become more adventurous and try other recipes, I was amazed at the amount of recipes out there. It turned out that just about everyone had their take on a cheesecake. However, I have yet to make one that wasn't at least sweet and edible.
Of course I have my favorites like anyone else but I try to stay adventurous by trying out different recipes or by just experimenting on some of the ones that I really like. Most of the time I end up adding different fruits and chocolates or just trying different flavoring. You can flavor a cheesecake with just about anything including liqueurs although I have yet to try hot sauce. Who knows, sweet and spicy has always been a wonderful combination.
Regardless of your baking level, I stronly suggest you try making one yourself. And if happen to be someone who hasn't tried a cheesecake (yes, I've been told they exist) why not make your first cheesecake one that you bake. Just start off with a basic cheesecake recipe. It's as simple as measuring, adding ingredients and mixing. Enjoy.
