A divine Blackberry sauce recipe that will liven up any dessrt. So good you'll be tempeted to eat alone.

Clean blackberries by rinsing them in cool water and draining in a colander.
In a medium sauce pan combine the sugar, water, cornstarch, lemon juice and cinnamon. Stir until the mixture is smooth. Stir in blackberries.
Cook over medium heat until mixture has thickened. Stir in butter until melted. If you want a thicker sauce, mix a teaspoon of cornstarch with a tablespoon of cold water and add to sauce. Mixing the cornstarch with the cold water prevents lumping. Remove from heat and serve when ready.
To store, cover and refrigerate. Can be stored up to seven days.
